So I was shopping at a really niced sized mall, had all the store I love shop at. The first store that I headed to was Sephora becasue I saw in my Allure magazine that they were teaming up with Sephora to do a make-up collection and it looked really nice and was at a very good price of only $34. I havn't been that into make-up in the past years just the simple mascara and eye liner and cover up but thats about it. Lately though I have been experimenting and watching videos on YouTube and have been feeling inspirted. So I got to the to store and looked around didn't see it anywhere so I asked the clerk and I got the last one!!!!! I was soo pumped espically since it has been a very stressful week (with moving into college).
Now off the next store Bakers Shoes. A funky shoe store where I have bought some of my homecoming shoes (although Aldo Shoes will always be number one in my heart), anyway I had a coupon for 20% off my purchase that I found in a Seventeen magazine and in the ad they had the cutest pair of leapord oxfords and I got get them for only $40 with my discout. Well... they didn't work out not with my style of body they just looked funny, but thats not the disappointment part of this story.
Forever 21 is right next to Bakers and I wanted to stop in just because you can always find cute clothes shoes and jewelry there no doubt. Well I found a few things and my guest that came shopping with me was getting tired like I said before it had been a long week, so I just grabed the few items I had and went back to the dressing room, but on the way back there I saw THE cutest wedges ever.
Yes I know adorable and they've had a different version of these (last year?) and when I saw them online they only had a size 6, but that was last year and this is this year. So I grabed an 8 right away and flew into the fitting room to try them on with the jeans I had. Well they didn't fit the best and I asked my guest to go and try to find a larger size, she looked and even asked the clerk for help, which after about a few minutes I figured. Then a different worker told us to check online, which of course I was already thinking of doing the second I got home, and she said they would have more variety of sizes which brought my hopes up. Then as I was going to put stuff away I saw a few scattered around the store with no doubt in my mind that they were going to have a larger size. Buttttttttttt they didn't, with still hope in the back of my mind that I can just order them online. (ps I even tried on different size 8's to see if one was stretched out or just made bigger.) Only to get home and find out that they only go up to 8 online.
I wanted to share my disappointment with you, but also share this adorable pairs of shoes so if they fit you get them they were only $27.80 and very cute. I will just be a big jelly belly without leapord wedges. Here's the link...

Outfit of the Day (wedding)...
I had a wedding this past Saturday and I just wanted to share some pictures of the outfit that I wore.
Details of my jewelry. I tried to keep every piece I wore simple but flashy.
Just me on the way to the wedding.
Had to take one without the shoes, so he could prove that he was taller than me.
I absolutly LOVED the shoes I wore but I had to bust out the Dr. Scholls flats toward the end of the night.
I got mine at Walmart they were only about $10 and came in a cute little gold case, I would definitetly recommend them to anyone!
Got the inspiration for my hair from one of my summer Seventeen magazines. I thought it was perfect for this outfit becasue the shirt had a really pretty ruffle detail that I wanted to show off in the back. Except I pinned some of my bangs up because it just wasn't working out for me to leave them all down.

Simply Vera by Vera Wang bracelet from Kohl's, I love that it has so many different pieces to it, that makes it able to go with a lot of different outfits.
This was my grandmothers ring, none of my aunts wanted it, so they let me have it. I am in love with it. They all thought it was too big and I think that it could be bigger.
My fake chanel earrings, someday I will own a real pair, but for now I'm fine with my $10 pair.
Outfit Details:
Top- Francesca's
Skirt- Platos closet (originally from F21)
Shoes- Kohl's Simply Vera
Tank- Aeropostale

Lace Shorts...
On my latest shopping venture there were two main trends that I wanted to get the first being skirts and the second was lace shorts. I noticed that the lace shorts were really popular in all the summer magazines and that they could be dressed up or dressed down, so I thought not only would they be perfect for summer but also for a back to school trend.
And I was very determined to find some, that when I found a cute pair at the first store I headed straight for the dressing room, but coming out a little disapointed. They were a very flowy pair, and yet the middle butt seam was very tight (even in a size larger). Also not to mention that they were completely see through not even the nude underwear could fix it. I was not going to let the first pair ruin my spirts about finding a great pair of lace shorts though.
And at the next store I struck gold! I found 4 pairs and was feeling very positive that at least one of these had to fit. Well was I oh so wrong. The sizes were not consistent at all. Almost every short I grabed was a different size and for the ones that were too small they only had smaller sizes and the ones that were too big they only had larger sizes. And almost all the other stores I check didn't have any.
Even though I didn't find my perfect pair that round I'm still looking, so I wanted to share some tips and tricks I learned when shopping for them:
1. Most important! DO NOT SETTLE for a pair that don't fit properly, are see through, don't flatter your body type, or just arn't comfortable to move in. Fashion is meant to have fun with and if they don't fit or look terriable on you, you won't be having fun and you won't ever wear them. Also be careful with the color some whites may wash you out (it wasn't a big issue for me though).
2. Like I said before don't settle, there are many different styles of lace shorts I tried on ones that almost looked to be a skirt to ones that were just short shorts made of lace.
3. Don't be afraid to go up a size, most lace shorts arn't too stretchy like jeans or shorts are. They will look 2 billion times better if you just go up a size then to have things buldging or popping out. (that goes for anything not just lace shorts!)
4. I would advise actucally going to the store and trying them on because of all the different ones I've tried
on were not consistent with what I would normally buy in a jean size at that store. Unless you see a great pair online and the store has an awesome return policy just in case they don't work.
5. And with any trend your trying don't get bummed if it doesn't fit right or they don't have your size. We've all been there it feels like the end of the world until you go into the next store and find something 20 times cuter. Also if the whole trend just isn't working out for your body type or personality make it your own and think outside the box, maybe try a lace skirt or dress.

Outfit of the Day...
I wore this outfit to a small party with some close friends I thought it was simple but still classy.
Just a simple black top with some crochet detial on the top. I wanted to wear my flower hair clip and I thought black would match it well.
These are my new crop jeans from Levis. I have been looking for a pair of well fitting crops and I really love these. They were only $34 at the Levis Outlet.
My cute hair clip. I love it because I can wear it as a hair clip or a pin on a shirt. I just threw my hair in a low messy bun, which I think is perfect for summer nights because you can accessorize with hats or cute clips.
I didn't want to do too many accessories because the shirt had a neck line detail and I was wearing a hair clip, but I thought this cute bow ring would tie my earings in with the pearls and I thought gold matched the color of my hair clip.
Shirt- Buckle
Jeans- Levis
Flower Hair Clip- at Summerfest
Ring- Pacsun
Sandals- Aldo
Hope you enjoyed my outfit of the day..
Love, Rae
